This country was built by small businesses. Now, more than ever, we need small business to resurrect this economy.  Your employees, tenants and customers must feel confident knowing you have taken the proper steps in assuring your facility has been professionally cleaned and sanitized.

All businesses and buildings are different. Depending Some require deeper cleaning than others, and some will need more than one treatment or ongoing treatment service and maintenance. In the last several weeks Sanitation Services has sanitized a wide range of businesses, buildings and facilities with confirmed and non-confirmed cases of Covid-19. In doing so, we have developed a service menu that will help get your business cleaned and sanitized, while giving your employees, customers and tenants peace of mind knowing your facility has been cleaned and sanitized by the best.

With the shear volume of businesses and buildings that need sanitizing throughout the Bay Area, there is no way we can do them all, and there is no way most businesses can afford to use our service on an ongoing basis, unless they need to due to high traffic volumes or high risk contact possibilities. Therefore, we have developed the Sanitation Services Clean and Train Program

and work with your staff to educate and trainIf you’ve had a confirmed case of COVID-19 at your facility, don’t panic, it will be ok. Our staff will work with you to mitigate the problem and develop a plan for properly disinfecting and sanitizing your facility specifically designed for your location.

We achieve this by:

  1. Identifying the contaminated areas,

  2. Understanding the facility environment and surface materials to be disinfected

  3. Developing a decontamination plan specific to your facility

  4. Identifying the proper chemicals, tools, and application methods for decontamination

  5. And finally, assigning the proper personnel and personal protection equipment (PPE) necessary to perform the job safely and effectively.

Note: This is not something you want to attempt on your own. Proper precautions must be taken. This is not your typical clean-up job and should only be performed by OSHA HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) trained and certified companies and personnel, using the proper chemicals, tools, application methods, and personal protection equipment (PPE). Sanitation Services is OSHA HAZWOPER Trained and Certified.

No confirmed case of COVID-19, but exposure might have been possible, what should I do?

Performing a Preventative or Precautionary cleaning and disinfecting is probably a good idea and will provide you, your staff and customers with the peace of mind knowing your facility has been cleaned and sanitized prior to occupancy.

Whether you’ve had a confirmed case or not, the facility will be treated as if it was contaminated, at least for the initial cleaning and disinfecting. We adhere to the same decontamination protocols, processes, and procedures regardless of a confirmed case or not to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy work environment.

What type of chemicals are used to disinfect and sanitize my facility?

All chemicals we use to clean and disinfect your facility are on EPA List N. All products on this list meet the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Proper application methods and equipment, contact times, and other protocol must be strictly adhered to for maximum disinfection. This should only be performed by trained and certified personnel with the proper tools, equipment and protection devices.

Can my janitorial or cleaning staff disinfect my facility?

Unless your janitorial service or cleaning staff is OSHA HAZWOPER trained and certified, and has the proper equipment and personal protection equipment (PPE), it should not be engaged in the clean up and disinfection of a property. In fact, improper application or lack of proper protocol and procedures can make the problem worse and spread the virus to other areas while jeopardizing the safety of the occupants and cleaning staff. This is not your typical clean-up job and proper safety measures and precautions should be taken at all times to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.

Can I bill my insurance company?

Depending on your policy coverage, some or all of the costs associated with disinfecting your facility can be billed to your insurance company.
